The archive is dated to early 2188. It does not pretend to be complete and is not on the schedule of any document that would judge it complete. The survey continues. The Treaty of Marker I is in force. The cadence of meetings holds.

What is current

Quarterly meetings at Marker IX with the Tyrian Court. Half-yearly meetings at the Brassgate with the Pearled Council. Continuing observation of the Vault of Hours by submersible. Routine maintenance of the markers and the cable. The standard slow accumulation of survey records.

What is open

The conlang work, which is unfinished and is unlikely to finish. The translation of the Council's preferred protocol, which the Council has not encouraged. The mapping of the southern hadal trenches, which is a generation's work and has been begun. The question of what the Vault of Hours is for, which the Court has politely declined to address.

What this archive is

The contract reportage of one cartographer-naturalist, kept under the Conservancy's records and made available, by working agreement, to the surface in this form. It is not the survey. It is one record of one observer's piece of the survey. The work has not concluded. It has not begun to conclude.
